Eat now · RiNo
The Basque room 5280 wants you in
Heretík · 1441 26th St · Theo Adley
Adley brought Marigold’s short-order snap to RiNo: oysters beside chipolata, a heritage cou nu chicken on the rotisserie, huevos rotos with morels. Eater Denver’s homepage is stale — 5280 and Westword are carrying the August desk.
Weekend markets are over: Riverfront Saturday morning, the Larimer bazaar, Urban Market’s last Saturday and Sunday. Food + Wine is the 26th. Two serious rooms — Rōmyō and Risica — are still promising August without a door date.

Eater Denver’s public homepage is not publishing 2026 local openings — latest maps are 2025. 5280’s Heretík page was Cloudflare-challenged on a first fetch; the og:image and review copy still loaded. La Vie En Rose has no firm date (Westword: still in rough-in). MAKfam II has no date. Harvey Park Farmers Market was only on a vendor page. Terruño’s BusinessDen piece circulated via a reprint URL.

Riverfront · Saturday
Riverfront Market
16th & Little Raven · Saturday, Aug. 15, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. · free
Weekly through Sept. 26 (dark July 18). 16th Street closes 7 a.m.–2 p.m. at the intersection. Official LoDo listing.
1441 26th St · open · 5280, August/September issue
Theo Adley (Marigold, Lyons) in the old Koko Ni room: oysters next to chipolata, rotisserie cou nu chicken, a “simple” herb salad that isn’t, crab Spanish tortilla, matrimonio, huevos rotos with morels. 5280’s summer “new places” pick.
1290 N Williams St · patio phase open as of Aug. 6
The old Secret Garden, now a European cafe: sandwiches, toastettes, Novo coffee, Black Box pastries, wine and beer you can walk into the park. Indoor cocktail bar is phase two, slated for September. Westword logged the line on day one.
The butcher shop’s bar next door: mixed charcuterie, a peach-and-tomato salad, WD burger, Cottonwood Creek pork chop, and a Daily Carne with chimichurri. Westword’s food photo was a team portrait — not used.
Once Concept Group’s first restaurant is open again on the same list as Carriage House, Enzo’s on Colfax, and Wooden Spoon’s reopening. A reopening, not a new concept.
Tivoli Quad · Wed seminar; Thu Shake + Brake 6–9 p.m.; Sat Grand Tasting noon–4 p.m.
Colorado Restaurant Foundation and Southern Glazer’s. Westword’s “this week” planner lists it; Humanitix is selling the four-day pass. Grand Tasting: 50-plus restaurants.
Frank Bonanno’s Italian-Japanese room in the old Ted’s Montana Grill, previewed at Mizuna: porcini fusilli lunghi with uni garlic emulsion; miso-roasted salmon on polenta. Westword still says “eyeing an August opening” — not a locked date.
3463 Walnut St, Edit building · “hopes to finally open at the end of August”
Andrea Frizzi (Il Posto, Vero) with pizzas, charcuterie, and small plates designed to land at $20 or less, plus portafoglio sandwiches. Same building as the forthcoming MAKfam expansion, which has no date.
Bere Vallarino, Miguel Salgado, and Fabiola Castillo: central Mexican food with tequila, mezcal, and rarer spirits, 11 a.m.–11 p.m., plus a 7 a.m.–1 p.m. grab-and-go cafe. BusinessDen, Aug. 5 — no calendar day attached.
East Village pasta-and-natural-wine bar (four Michelin Bibs) takes the old Super Mega Bien. Jon Robbins (Bistro Barbes) as chef de cuisine. Westword’s summer list.
