Philadelphia Weekly Eats.

Monday, August 17, 2026 · Philadelphia

Recipe Philly, the reality-show restaurant, opens today at Broad and Arch. Ellen Yin’s Bar Cicci is tomorrow. Caribbean Fest and Parks on Tap on the Plateau were yesterday. Ice cream on Filbert was Saturday. Eater Philly did not publish an August openings package — this brief is built from the Inquirer, PhillyVoice, Philly Grub, Infatuation, and the event presenters.

Thin on chef pop-ups and on Eater. Eater Philadelphia’s latest “best new” heatmap is still July 2026; the homepage this week is maps and a past Bang Bang dinner, not August openings. Infatuation’s Aug. 5 guide tops out at July rooms (Luna Marre, Manna, Vons). A Rittenhouse “fall preview” blog listed Stephen Starr’s Pelican Club for October — we left it out pending a primary source. The Inquirer’s Aug. 5 Recipe Philly date (Aug. 13) was superseded by Aug. 13 reporting that the restaurant opens Monday, Aug. 17.
