Restaurant Weeks was the weekend. Express-News (Sunday) dates Nigerian food-truck Oringo Africana’s first brick-and-mortar to Sept. 5 at the old Dignowity Meats. The most interesting undated room is still (a)mar at the Pearl.
Thin first edition. There is no Eater San Antonio. MySA dining is partly paywalled. Hoodline and Focus On SA carried August openings; several are suburban or chain. Wild Boar Saloon in Southtown had a VIP on Aug. 8 but no public date — left out. Box Street Social’s fourth shop and Mia’s second location are next year, outside the horizon. A Hemisfair “Sunday Brunch Market” and a Mission Marquee market appeared only on aggregator pages and were not used. Mexico Ceaty’s Summer Fiesta was Aug. 7–9, already over.

Last night of the set
MySA flagged this kitchen’s three-day Restaurant Weeks plate: arancini telefono, steak chimichurri, and a choice of flourless chocolate almond torte or strawberry shortcake. Last night of that set is tonight.

The wine-on-tap chain’s fifth Texas room opened to the public Aug. 10 after an Aug. 7 chamber ribbon-cutting. The brand’s own location page still says “Coming Soon” and “Opening August 10th” — treat the Focus On SA date as the one that happened.

The Irish pub’s patio has been open since spring; Focus On SA says the indoor bar is aiming at that last weekend of August. Suburban, listed because it is the cleanest dated “coming” item on this week’s local roundup.
